To compile the Voters Guide information, we invite every candidate campaigning for office to provide their personal and platform information. We send questions to all candidates in major contested races. We list the names of unopposed candidates but do not send them questionnaires. Our league members verify the contact information provided by various election entities and the Texas Secretary of State. The League formulates all candidate questions through a rigorous questions committee process. Candidate replies are printed without editing or verification of content. Candidates are asked to avoid negative references to their opponents, and we reserve the right to redact portions that do not meet our guidelines. Candidates must submit answers by the deadline provided to be included in the printed version. Responses may be updated after the print deadline on VOTE411.org.
VOTE411.org, a one-stop online resource for upcoming elections, is made possible by the League of Women Voters Education Fund. Enter your address to find your polling place, build your ballot with our online Voters Guide, and compare candidates side by side.
We depend on volunteers to distribute Voters Guides to locations in the community where people can easily spot them.
Voters Guides will be available before early starts for the next election.
